South Korea says U.S. sets 12.5% \'forced labor\' tariff; next is overproduction

The United States has finalised a 12.5% tariff on South Korean products over forced labor, leaving 2.5 percentage points before a 15% cap set in last year’s trade agreement. The U.S. Trade Representative said the measure, imposed under Section 301, applies across 60 economies and takes effect on July 24. South Korea is in the first group with Japan and Switzerland. Korea Post strengthens cooperation with major countries to revive EMS volumes

Korea’s Postal Service said it will strengthen cooperation with postal operators in major countries to help restore international express mail (EMS) volumes and improve service quality. It said the head of the Postal Service attended the 2026 Kahala Posts Group CEO meeting in Hangzhou, China, and discussed steps to improve EMS quality and revitalise services. It said EMS dispatch volumes among member countries fell 10.1 percent in 2025 from 2024.

Coinbase to pursue all-in-one finance app in Canada, including stocks and prediction markets
