Coinbase joins OpenUSD, raising questions over Circle\'s position

Coinbase, a key partner behind Circle\'s USDC, has joined the founding camp of new stablecoin OpenUSD (OUSD), reports said. Circle unveils \'USDC Bridge\' for 1-to-1 transfers of native USDC between chains

Circle has unveiled an official cross-chain transfer service, \'USDC Bridge\', to move native USDC between blockchains. The service is based on Circle\'s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, or CCTP, and transfers tokens using a 1-to-1 burn-and-mint method rather than wrapped or synthetic versions. Circle said fees are shown in advance and transfer status can be tracked, while destination-chain gas exchange is handled automatically.
