Microsoft stressed an open AI ecosystem at a National Assembly event and said South Korea should focus on corporate AI transformation based on its semiconductor competitiveness rather than building a standalone large language model. South Korea\'s National Assembly Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee adopted a hearing report on Go Gwang-heon (고광헌), nominee for the first chair of the Broadcast Media Communications Review Commission. The report was approved under the leadership of the Democratic Party after People Power Party lawmakers did not take part in the vote. The report will be sent to the government without a plenary vote. Go will take office if President Lee Jae-myung approves it.
