Pearl Abyss\' Black Desert Mobile joins global environment campaign Green Game Jam
Pearl Abyss said on Wednesday that Black Desert Mobile is taking part in the Green Game Jam, a global environmental challenge with adventurers worldwide. The campaign, backed by the Playing for the Planet alliance supported by the U.N. Environment Programme, aims to raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainability through game content. Black Desert Mobile is the only South Korean game participating among 57 titles.

Pearl Abyss posts third straight year of losses, bets on Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss posted a third consecutive annual loss, hit by rising development and marketing expenses for its new title Crimson Desert. The company reported fourth-quarter revenue of 95.5 billion won and an operating loss of 8.4 billion won. Annual revenue rose 6.8 percent to 365.6 billion won, but operating and net results turned to losses. Pearl Abyss plans a March 20 global launch for Crimson Desert and expects marketing costs to rise in the first quarter.

Pearl Abyss donates 100 million won to MSF with Black Desert users
Pearl Abyss said on Jan. 5 it delivered 100 million won to Doctors Without Borders through an in-game donation event for Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile. When players complete donation missions in the games, the company makes a contribution. Pearl Abyss has donated to the international medical humanitarian aid group every December since 2019. The donation will be used for medical relief activities in Sudan, including disease response, malnutrition treatment and emergency services.
