South Korea to loosen broadcast and OTT ad rules, expand mid-roll ads from October

The Broadcasting Media Communication Commission approved a revision to the Enforcement Decree of the Broadcasting Act that will take effect in October after remaining procedures. The agency estimates easing mid-roll ad rules could lift broadcast ad revenue by about 50 billion won. Prime-time limits will remain to curb ad concentration.

Unitree survives new U.S. China tech curbs, can still sell six existing robot models

It said it had already secured Federal Communications Commission equipment approvals for major humanoid and quadruped robots before the stricter rules took effect. The FCC has expanded its Covered List on national security grounds, which could limit market entry for new products. Unitree warned new models developed after the cutoff could face restrictions.
