Cloudflare automates bug bounty processing with AI for $58 a month

Cloudflare is automating the handling of submissions to its bug bounty program using Anthropic\'s Claude Sonnet and is spending just $58 a month, The Register reported on Aug. 4. Chief Security Officer Grant Bourzikas (그랜트 부르지카스) said using Anthropic\'s security-focused model Mythos for the same work would cost more than $200,000 a month. The AI filters duplicate reports and assesses whether they merit human review, a process previously done manually.

Jay Clayton (제이 클레이턴), former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, has been formally sworn in as U.S. director of national intelligence, after winning Senate confirmation by 51 to 47. His appointment draws attention in the cryptocurrency industry because the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple Labs and its executives on his last day in office in December 2020. After leaving the SEC, Clayton joined advisory boards tied to digital asset investment and crypto infrastructure.

OpenAI released text messages and emails between current and former Apple employees as it fights Apple’s trade-secret lawsuit. The disclosed material focuses on what OpenAI portrays as private exchanges aimed at checking a former employee’s expertise rather than organised theft of confidential information. Apple has sought a preliminary injunction and demanded steps including halting access and use of confidential information and preserving evidence. A court hearing is set for Oct. 1, 2026.
