Finix unveils payment terminal for unmanned stores, targets kiosk payment demand
Payment solutions provider Finix unveiled a payment terminal aimed at unmanned and semi-unmanned stores and customer self-ordering and payment setups. The company said the Android-based device is designed for touch operation, with a slim and durable build suited to high-traffic sites. It supports EMV chip, magnetic stripe and contactless payments, as well as mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The terminal ships with the Finix payment app preconfigured and includes installation components for unattended sites.

Tim Cook will step down as Apple’s chief executive on Sept. 1. Cook, who took over from Steve Jobs in 2011, led the company for about 15 years and grew Apple’s corporate value from $350 billion to about $4 trillion, while expanding beyond the iPhone into wearables, payments, streaming and augmented reality. He cited the 2012 launch of Apple Maps as his biggest mistake and named the Apple Watch as his proudest achievement.

Cardano, Wirex launch physical Visa debit card for online and offline payments
Cardano has launched a physical Visa debit card with Wirex to expand payment options for its ADA token. The card is designed to let users spend Cardano tokens and more than 680 digital assets at Visa merchants, online and in stores. Users manage the card through the Wirex app and can link it to Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments. The card offers up to 8 percent Cryptoback and is available in more than 130 countries, subject to local rules.
