Waymo considers ending Uber partnership in Austin, Atlanta

Waymo is considering unwinding its robotaxi partnership with Uber in Austin and Atlanta. TechCrunch reported that Waymo told Uber it plans to operate robotaxis through its own app from January 2028, separate from existing services offered through Uber in the two markets. Uber said its contract with Waymo for Austin and Atlanta ends in May 2028. The companies ended cooperation in Phoenix earlier this year.
