Galaxy Research flags ETF outflows and slower corporate buying as factors in bitcoin weakness

Bitcoin’s weakness since the start of October has been driven by spot ETF outflows and a slowdown in buying by companies that hold bitcoin as a treasury asset, Galaxy Research executive Alex Thorn said. Galaxy’s indicator comparing institutional absorption with early-holder distribution showed net supply has been dominated by coins moving after five years of inactivity. ETF and corporate buying supported flows in March and April, but since May outflows and long-term holder selling have pushed monthly flows negative.

TikTok reinstates ad account for Elon Musk documentary after permanent suspension

TikTok permanently suspended, then reinstated, an advertising account for \'Musk\', a documentary about Tesla CEO Elon Musk, after citing repeated violations of its political content policy. The account belonged to distributor Bleecker Street, which said it would appeal after ads were blocked as the film expanded to more U.S. theaters. TikTok later said the suspension was an error and restored the account, allowing ads only if policies are followed.

Stablecoin market grows to $306 billion, daily payment adoption still a challenge

The tokenised asset market is expanding, but investor demand and liquidity are not keeping pace, speakers at a Connect event in Singapore said. They flagged an imbalance between supply and demand in real-world asset tokenisation and growing fragmentation of liquidity. In stablecoins, they said linking to everyday payments matters more than cross-border transfers, with user experience and regulatory compliance also key. Stablecoin market capitalisation reached $306 billion.
