MegazoneCloud recruits companies for AWS Space Accelerator: Korea 2026

MegazoneCloud is recruiting Korean space and satellite startups to join AWS Space Accelerator: Korea 2026, run in cooperation with Amazon Web Services and the Korea Aerospace Administration. The programme provides cloud technology support and business mentoring to help startups develop technology and grow. It will select 15 to 20 companies in fields including satellite manufacturing and operations, earth observation and space communications. Applications close on Oct. 2.

Qualcomm boosts Hexagon NPU memory 50 percent, targets AI agents

Qualcomm has redesigned its AI processor architecture to run agentic AI on smartphones. The company on Sept. 11 disclosed design details and performance figures for the Hexagon NPU to be used in its next premium mobile platform. It added a new accelerator for transformer workloads and increased shared NPU memory by up to 50 percent to reduce DDR access and latency. Qualcomm also outlined wider precision support and MoE model support.

FuriosaAI sets up Singapore unit, steps up push into Asia-Pacific market

FuriosaAI said on Thursday it has established a local unit in Singapore to serve as a base for business development, sales and technical support across Asia-Pacific. The company said the move reflects expanding global commercial deployments of infrastructure based on its second-generation AI inference accelerator, Renegade. FuriosaAI plans to broaden cooperation with regional companies, governments, cloud providers and infrastructure partners to accelerate large-scale AI inference adoption.
