Apple has unveiled a 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by its latest M6 chip, TechCrunch reported on Oct. 27 (local time).

The report said the new MacBook Pro offers up to 24 hours of battery life. It also supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Prices start at $1,999. It comes in two colors: Space Black and silver.

Apple also announced a new iMac with the M6 chip. Apple previously announced a new iPad mini on Oct. 26.

Apple said the M6 chip has a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU. Graphics performance is up to 30 percent faster than the M5 chip, and AI workloads are up to 25 percent faster. LLM prompt processing is up to 13 times faster than on the M1 MacBook Pro.

The M6 MacBook Pro comes with 16GB of unified memory as standard and can be expanded to up to 32GB. Memory bandwidth rises to up to 170GB per second, higher than the M5 chip's 153GB per second. It includes HDMI, MagSafe 3, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SDXC card slot and a headphone jack. With a high-power USB-C adapter, the battery can be charged to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The new iMac comes with a neural accelerator on all cores, boosting CPU and GPU performance. On-device AI performance is up to five times faster than the M4 model. It has a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports, and runs macOS 27. Prices start at $1,499. It comes in seven colors: blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange and silver.

Preorders for both products begin on Oct. 28, with launches set for Nov. 6.
