Binance will end its Bitcoin mining pool and related services on Nov. 10.
Decrypt, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Oct. 13 local time that the closures will cover Binance Pool, Pool Savings, cloud mining, the transaction accelerator, Telegram hashrate notifications, email notifications and the pool API.
Binance said it is stopping the services following a review of its products and services overall. From 0700 UTC on Nov. 10, it will disconnect mining connections and deactivate Stratum URLs and mining endpoints used for access. Hashrate and mining shares submitted after that will not be received or processed and will not be reflected in rewards.
Miners must move their mining equipment to other mining pools before the shutdown. Pool Savings users must cancel subscriptions or redeem deposited positions before the service ends. Binance said it will operate services normally until the shutdown time, and told users who want to receive final rewards to complete required identity verification procedures by 2359 UTC on Nov. 10. Related pages can be viewed until 0700 UTC on Nov. 24 and will not be accessible permanently after that.
A mining pool combines the computing power of multiple miners and distributes block rewards according to contribution. Cloud mining is a service that allows users to participate in mining by purchasing hashrate without mining equipment. The transaction accelerator was a function that helped process Bitcoin transactions delayed by low fees or network congestion.
Binance's decision coincides with a reshaping of its business areas. Binance ended its exchange-based non-fungible token service in July. In June, it began trading more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds for customers outside the United States. Richard Teng (리처드 텅), Binance's co-chief executive officer, said at the time that fractional purchases would be available starting from $5 with no fees. Binance also foreshadowed a feature called "bStocks" that tokenises stocks purchased on the BNB blockchain and issues them.
Ivan Patriki (이반 파트리키), co-founder of Quantmap, told Decrypt that major exchanges are entering stock markets to reduce reliance on crypto market cycles. Vytautas Makonis, chief operating officer of real-world asset protocol ALCUM, said the structure of the service is more complex than it appears and explained that Binance handles the trading interface, Nest Trading acts as a broker-dealer and Alpaca Securities serves as custodian.
Binance Pool launched in April 2020. Hashrate Index data show that as of the end of 2025 it recorded about 26 exahash per second, accounting for about 2.3 percent of the Bitcoin network, and ranked ninth among mining pools. The report assessed Binance Pool as the last remaining example amid a boom in exchanges entering mining businesses, and said its competitiveness was based more on links to Binance's exchange and custody businesses than on mining technology.
Binance will handle unpaid rewards, balances and refunds in line with product rules, account status and compliance checks. The shutdown shows Binance's strategic shift in scrapping some services including NFTs and mining while expanding its business areas into stocks and tokenised assets.
