Strive buys 147 more bitcoin, ranks 7th among corporate holders
Asset manager Strive kept buying bitcoin despite posting a large second-quarter net loss, raising its total holdings to 20,167 bitcoin. The company said it added 147 bitcoin to its digital asset treasury reserve and reported a second-quarter net loss of $257.6 million, citing a fall in bitcoin prices during the quarter. Strive said it repaid all short- and long-term debt and had no outstanding loans as of Aug. 7.

Asset manager Strive bought an additional 21 bitcoin, raising its total holdings to 19,921 BTC. It bought between July 13 and 17 at an average price of $63,221 each, for about $1.3 million. Cash and cash equivalents rose by $3.3 million to $157.4 million as of July 17. Share counts changed due to an at-the-market program, while the firm also reported holdings and fair value changes in preferred shares.

Asset manager Strive bought 18 more bitcoin last week, raising its total holdings to 19,900 BTC, Bitcoin Magazine reported on July 13. The purchases ran from July 6 to July 10 at an average price of about $64,028 per bitcoin including fees, for a total of about $1.2 million. As of July 10, Strive held $154.1 million in cash and cash equivalents and continued to hold Strategy’s STRC preferred shares.
