Asset manager Strive bought an additional 1,355 bitcoin for $107.7 million, raising its holdings to 26,355 BTC.
Cryptopolitan, a blockchain media outlet, reported on Sept. 21 local time that, after the announcement, shares of Nasdaq-listed Strive's ASST rose more than 6 percent in premarket trading.
Strive Chief Executive Matt Cole (맷 콜) disclosed the purchase on Sept. 21. Strive began buying bitcoin after its merger in September 2025. The average purchase price for the 1,355 BTC was $79,475 per coin.
Strive bought 1,800 coins at the end of August and then purchased an additional 1,375 the following week. It later added 469 BTC, lifting its total bitcoin holdings to 25,000 BTC. This week, it bought 1,355 BTC again. On the same day, Michael Saylor (마이클 세일러)'s Strategy also bought 950 BTC for about $76 million, but that was its first purchase since Aug. 31.
The gap in total holdings remains large. Strategy holds 846,000 BTC, far ahead of Twenty One Capital, which has accumulated 43,514 BTC. Strive is fifth with 26,355 BTC.
Funding mainly came from SATA. SATA is a floating-rate Series A perpetual preferred stock that pays a 13 percent dividend each business day. The notional value of the product exceeded $1 billion early this month. The previous week's purchase of 469 BTC was funded entirely through SATA. Warrant exercises that began last week brought in a total of $21.2 million, lowering SATA's share of total capital raised to 57.7 percent.
The share price also stayed strong. ASST rose from a closing price of $12.80 on Aug. 18 to above $30 on Sept. 18. That was a gain of more than 120 percent in a month. SATA also recovered its par value of $100, maintaining a market-sale programme used as funding for bitcoin purchases.
Strive is increasing its holdings by deploying funds secured through preferred share issuance and warrant exercises to buy bitcoin. The scale of additional purchases is expected to depend on fundraising conditions via SATA and the flow of warrant exercises.
