K-security SaaS platform gains momentum, targets global expansion
South Korean companies are accelerating moves into security-as-a-service (SECaaS), offering security solutions as SaaS platforms as cloud and AI adoption grows. AhnLab is stepping up domestic and overseas efforts, while MonitorLab has long focused on SECaaS and other firms are expected to follow. SK Telecom is working with F5 on AI cloud security, and LG Uplus has acquired MDR specialist Pago Networks. Naver Cloud and others also outlined new security initiatives.

Global solidarity key to counter AI-driven security threats, Naver Cloud chief says
Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yoo-won said AI-driven security threats can no longer be stopped by a single organisation and require global cooperation. Speaking at Cyber Summit Korea 2026 in Seoul, he said AI is shrinking the time from vulnerability discovery to attacks to minutes or hours. He cited deepfakes, sophisticated phishing, auto-generated malware and AI agents. He also outlined cooperation efforts involving NATO exercises, a U.N. body and industry initiatives.

Team Naver proposes AI factory partnership in France, expands to industrial AI and content
Team Naver is expanding cooperation with French companies and institutions on AI infrastructure, industry-focused AI and content. Naver said CEO Choi Soo-yeon (최수연) and Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yoo-won (김유원) met French media, IT, energy, mobility and finance executives during President Lee Jae-myung’s France trip. It proposed jointly building an AI factory in Europe and outlined plans for sector-specific AI and content partnerships, including webtoons and an IP adaptation fund.
