KT to train retired staff as AI instructors, support education for elderly living alone
KT will train retired and former employees as AI instructors to provide generative AI education for elderly people living alone. KT said it will run a four-week pilot programme from Nov. 6 with Seongnam City’s Single-Person Household Healing Space for about 20 residents aged 60 to 69. The programme will be taught by 45 senior IT supporters, with nine additional instructors selected. KT plans to expand the initiative nationwide.

KT provides AI skills and ethics education at Busan arts middle school
KT is providing programmes to build AI use skills and digital ethics awareness among middle school students in Busan. KT said it held hands-on AI capability and ethics education at Busan Arts Middle School on Aug. 27 with the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and the Korea Press Foundation. Students tried generative AI, board games and team missions, used a mobile AI experience centre and watched a media literacy play developed by the foundation.

KT, Seoul city hold AI future camp at Seoul Robot AI Science Museum
KT said on Aug. 23 it held an \"AI Future Camp\" with the Seoul city government, the Seoul Robot AI Science Museum and the Seoul Dobong Police Station on Aug. 22 for 100 elementary school students in Dobong district. Students joined five programs in four groups, including AI experience and ethics training, block-coding lessons linked to AICE, museum exhibitions and robot-arm drawing. They also received crime-prevention education on using AI.
