Competition between Naver and Google for leadership in South Korea\'s search market is intensifying in the AI era. Google has led Naver in monthly active users for two straight months, but Naver users spend about 5.9 times more total time on its app. Naver also leads Google in the share of visits to external websites that come via search engines. The indicators measure different behaviors and do not directly count total searches.

Animorph unveils querying.ai GEO API for AI search, providing on-screen answers and sources
Animorph, a full-stack GEO platform company, said on Sept. 7 it unveiled querying.ai, an API for generative AI search optimization. The service collects and provides the answers and cited sources shown on actual AI search screens by launching a browser and capturing on-screen results. It also provides structured data including web search terms used to generate answers, cited sources and catalog information. Up to 500 items can be sent per call, with results delivered via webhook or lookup.

Smilegate to launch new MMORPG \'Eclipse\' on Sept. 10
Smilegate said on Sept. 3 it will launch the new massively multiplayer online role-playing game \'Eclipse: The Awakening\', developed by Npixel, at noon on Sept. 10. The game supports PC and mobile cross-platform play, and allows up to two PC clients to run at once. Character pre-creation for 24 servers in August ended early. Smilegate will hold a livestream on its official YouTube channel on Sept. 5.
