Google steps up AI Mode travel tools, AI agent calls stores on users\' behalf

Google has unveiled 2 new features in its AI Mode to help users plan summer travel, TechCrunch reported on Thursday. One feature lets a Google AI agent call nearby stores to check inventory for items the user wants. The capability, first introduced in standard Search last November, will be added to AI Mode in the United States in coming weeks. Another feature allows users to track prices for specific hotels and receive email alerts when prices change.

Google expands Live Translate earbud feature to iOS, widens country support

Google is expanding its AI-based \"Live Translate\" feature to iOS and significantly widening the list of supported countries, TechCrunch reported on March 26. The real-time earbud translation tool had previously been available only to Android users in the United States, India and Mexico. The update adds support for Germany, Spain, France, Nigeria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, Bangladesh and Thailand.
