KakaoPay launches \'AI Coach\' to help with spending analysis and budget management

KakaoPay has launched a beta version of its personalised AI financial agent, \'AI Coach\', which analyses users\' spending records based on MyData to help manage financial habits. The service offers budget-based spending management, saving challenges, transaction analysis across multiple financial institutions, and guidance on government subsidies and support programmes users can apply for. Users can also choose between two coaching styles, with guidance tailored to the selected preference.

KB Financial Group develops Gemini-based work, customer service AI to accelerate AX

KB Financial Group is pushing a group-wide AI transformation using Google Cloud’s generative AI and cloud technology. It plans to deploy a data analysis agent to support employees and a conversational agent for customer consultations. The company said it is expanding strategic cooperation with Google Cloud in AI and data, covering AI-driven work innovation, improved customer financial experiences, data-based decision-making and building an AI financial platform.

Inter-agency task force launched to tackle AI-related crime; 10 agencies join

A South Korean inter-agency consultative body has officially launched to respond to crimes abusing AI, including deepfake sexual exploitation, false or unfair AI advertising and AI financial fraud. The Korea Communications Commission said it held a kickoff meeting on June 26 to discuss a comprehensive plan to eradicate AI crime and measures to build an integrated response system. Ten agencies are participating, including the science ministry, justice ministry, financial regulator, police and others.
