Hanwha Systems to work with TTA on next-generation military communications network
Hanwha Systems said on Wednesday it will cooperate with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to develop a next-generation military communications network. The two organisations will pursue an AI-based 5G tactical communications system that integrates ground and non-ground networks. They plan to reflect 3GPP-based commercial 5G and 6G technologies and NATO standards from early planning and design, and verify compatibility to meet EU and NATO market requirements.

TTA expands mobile technology cooperation with Vietnam\'s Viettel to support exports by Korean firms
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said it is expanding cooperation on next-generation mobile technology and business with Vietnam\'s mobile operator Viettel. TTA said it held a B5G and 6G standards technology business exchange event and workshop with Viettel Group in Hanoi over two days from Aug. 4. The event aimed to help South Korean firms with mobile equipment and solutions build business networks and pursue entry into Vietnam.

Skylo speeds push into South Korea with satellite links for regular smartphones
Skylo Technologies is accelerating its push into South Korea with a service that allows regular smartphones to use satellite communications in areas without mobile coverage. The company says its direct-to-device technology connects phones to satellites without dedicated terminals or external antennas and works with mobile standards. Skylo said it operates commercial services in 37 countries and had connected about 7 million devices as of June 2025.
