After committee review, staff voting and a final evaluation with presentations and Q&A, it chose 1 top award, 2 excellence awards and 1 challenge example. The top case enabled space operators to use guarantee and mutual-aid services without forming a separate association.

Fuel cells gain traction as AI data centers face power crunch; investment seen jumping tenfold

Large U.S. data center operators are expanding the use of fuel cells to secure power needed for artificial intelligence infrastructure, seeking to bring supply forward as grid connections can take years. Energy research firm Rystad Energy expects fuel-cell investment for data centers to rise from $2.8 billion in 2025 to about $30 billion in 2030. Bloom Energy posted sharply higher quarterly revenue and swung to profit, and Oracle plans to procure up to 2.8 GW of Bloom’s systems.
