KB Kookmin Bank launches \'KB Card Sseudam Savings\' offering up to 12.0 percent
KB Kookmin Bank introduced a savings product that offers an interest rate of up to 12.0 percent a year for customers who meet conditions tied to KB Kookmin Card usage and bank transactions. The \'KB Card Sseudam Savings\' is a six-month product with monthly deposits from 10,000 won to 300,000 won. It will sell 100,000 accounts on a first-come, first-served basis. The base rate is 2.0 percent before tax as of Aug. 21.

Korean anode materials makers are accelerating plans to localise synthetic graphite as a U.S. route for Chinese graphite shifts from high tariffs to tax credit eligibility requirements. With capacity expansions and long-term supply contracts largely concentrated in 2027, domestic cell makers have limited options to replace Chinese materials before then. Import prices have fallen, but U.S. 45X rules on prohibited foreign entities tighten from 2026.

Yuanta Securities sees HectoInnovation growth extending to consolidated subsidiaries
Yuanta Securities said HectoInnovation’s second-quarter results showed growth in both its core business and consolidated subsidiaries, and it expects progress in its stablecoin business could lead to a different share-price pattern. The company posted second-quarter revenue of 102.83 billion won and operating profit of 12.88 billion won, up 12.0 percent and down 4.0 percent from a year earlier, respectively. Eugene Investment & Securities also cited continuing revenue growth and expectations for HectoHealthcare.
