Mirae Asset Securities Q2 operating profit nearly 2.49 trillion won, up 397.5 percent year on year

Mirae Asset Securities posted a second-quarter operating profit of 2.49 trillion won, nearly 2.5 trillion won, helped by stronger brokerage and wealth management results and improved performance at overseas subsidiaries. Revenue rose to 21.63 trillion won and net profit to 1.91 trillion won, both sharply higher from a year earlier and the prior quarter. Total client assets climbed to 784 trillion won, while overseas subsidiaries posted about 609.1 billion won in pretax profit.

Shift Up Q2 operating profit 28.1 billion won, down 58.8 percent on year

Shift Up said on Monday its second-quarter consolidated operating revenue was 55.7 billion won and operating profit was 28.1 billion won, with net profit of 41.7 billion won. Revenue, operating profit and net profit rose from the previous quarter, but all fell from a year earlier. The company said the year-on-year decline was largely due to base effects following the PC version launch of \"Stellar Blade\" in the second quarter of last year.

Netmarble to tighten new game criteria, revise multi-title strategy

Netmarble is shifting away from releasing new games in rapid succession and will focus on extending the lifespan and revenue of existing titles. It cut its second-half new-game lineup to three and plans to apply stricter launch standards while strengthening live-service operations.
