Coupang expands personal data leak to 33.7 million accounts

Coupang confirmed that personal data from about 33.7 million customer accounts was exposed, up from 4,500 cases first reported on Nov. 18. It says the leak involved names, email addresses, address books and some order details, but excluded payment, credit card and login information. The company attributes the incident to unauthorised access through overseas servers and says it blocked the access path, strengthened monitoring and began an external investigation. It warned customers to watch for potential smishing attempts.

Ethereum layer 2 Optimism signals new enterprise strategy

Ethereum layer 2 project Optimism signalled a move away from its strategy of mass‑producing partner chains based on the OP Stack. CEO Jing Wang said the approach lacked focus and failed to match market shifts. Optimism plans to reposition itself to allow enterprises greater economic control, though detailed methods were not disclosed. The project gained attention during the 2020–2021 period of high Ethereum fees but later faced rising costs due to strategic gaps and rapid hiring.

Fidelity's Ethereum-based tokenised MMF tops 250 million dollars

Fidelity's tokenised money market fund on the Ethereum blockchain has exceeded 250 million dollars in net assets. RWAxyz data shows the fund reached 266.2 million dollars on November 28, rising about 15 percent in a month. The fund, called the Fidelity Digital Interest Token, tokenises an existing U.S. Treasury MMF. The broader on-chain real-world asset market has grown to more than 36 billion dollars, with Ethereum maintaining the largest share. A RedStone report sees the market reaching 60 billion dollars next year.
