KOSPI recovers 4,100 in intraday trade after AI bubble fears trigger selloff

South Korea's KOSPI, which opened sharply lower amid renewed debate over a bubble in the artificial intelligence industry and caution ahead of U.S. economic indicators due this week, narrowed losses and regained the 4,100 level in intraday trade. The won opened weaker versus the dollar. Foreign and institutional investors were net sellers in the main market, while individuals bought. The KOSDAQ also recovered quickly after an early drop.
