Porcini, Samsung CDO, says human-centred approach is strategic imperative in AI era

Samsung Electronics Chief Design Officer Mauro Porcini presented the company’s view on design in the AI era at CES 2026. He said a human-centred approach is a natural responsibility for the future and is also essential from strategic and economic perspectives. At a Samsung Tech Forum panel in Las Vegas, participants said design starting from a people-first view is key to technology differentiation, and Porcini highlighted “expressive design” and an “AI X (EI + HI)” concept.

KOSA, Korea Iron and Steel Association to cooperate on AI, form committee on autonomous manufacturing

The Korea AI and Software Industry Association said it signed an MOU with the Korea Iron and Steel Association to promote an AI-based autonomous manufacturing ecosystem in the steel industry and foster converged talent. The groups plan to jointly develop training for steel-focused AI specialists, set data standardisation guidelines, support use of government-led AI infrastructure and provide consulting and voucher links for smaller steel companies. They also plan to form a committee to advance execution tasks in stages.
