Smartlet band lets users wear Apple Watch and mechanical watch on one wrist

A new Apple Watch accessory called Smartlet is drawing attention for a design that allows a mechanical watch and an Apple Watch to be worn on the same wrist. It places the mechanical watch on top of the wrist and the Apple Watch underneath. The band works with all Apple Watch models and most mechanical watches with 20 mm or 22 mm lug widths, including brands such as Rolex, TAG Heuer, Tudor, Omega and Zenith. Reviews note it feels less awkward than expected but raise questions about comfort and fit with shirt cuffs.

Korea expands information security disclosure obligations, removes revenue threshold for listed companies

South Korea is preparing legal grounds to expand the scope of companies required to disclose information security measures. The Ministry of Science and ICT will revise an enforcement decree under the Information Security Industry Promotion Act and take public comments through Feb. 19. The change removes the 300 billion won revenue threshold for listed firms, expands coverage to all companies listed on the main and KOSDAQ markets, and adds ISMS certification obligation companies.

MSIT to hold work reports from 55 agencies including Korea Aerospace Administration

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said it will receive work reports from 55 organisations, including the Korea Aerospace Administration, from Jan. 12 to 14. Deputy Prime Minister and Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon will chair the sessions. The ministry plans to coordinate national science, technology and AI policy directions, including advancing to become one of three leading AI powers, shifting R&D using AI and redefining agency roles after the abolition of PBS.
