SBVA invests 126.7 billion won in 2025, to focus on AI and deep tech this year

SBVA said on Jan. 22 it invested a total of 126.7 billion won in 17 companies in 2025. It said 6 of the companies were overseas firms, accounting for about 35 percent of its investment targets, reflecting a larger focus on global markets. SBVA said investment covered areas including AI, robotics, content, commerce and healthcare, and it formed a 150 billion won fund in December, bringing assets under management to 2.9 trillion won.

Cafe24 supports 1.04 million-subscriber YouTuber JUNTV's content-commerce push

Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 said on Wednesday it supported health-recipe YouTube channel JUNTV, which has 1.04 million subscribers, in building a direct-to-consumer shopping mall and integrating it with YouTube Shopping. JUNTV linked its store to its channel using Cafe24’s YouTube Shopping feature, enabling immediate purchases from videos and a store tab. JUNTV is run by CEO Youngjun Choi, who majored in food engineering.

Naver Place introduces restaurant reservation filter for Japan

Naver has introduced a “restaurant reservation” search filter on Naver Place that lets users browse restaurants in Japan that can be booked locally, based on data from Japan’s largest restaurant information platform, Tabelog. Users can filter results after searching terms such as “Tokyo restaurants” or “Osaka restaurants.” From Jan. 15, Naver also subdivided searchable areas to include specific districts such as Shinjuku and Dotonbori.
