Pearl Abyss gives 5 million won special bonus to all employees to mark 5 million 'Red Desert' sales

Pearl Abyss paid a special bonus of 5 million won per employee to all staff to commemorate 5 million copies sold of 'Red Desert'. The bonus was paid on April 23, industry sources said on April 27. Based on a total headcount of 733 employees in the company’s year-end business report, the total payout is about 3.7 billion won. The game reached 5 million sales 26 days after release.

Nexon starts N Connect preseason with SOOP integration, expands to CHZZK in May

Nexon said on Sunday it has started a preseason for N Connect, a project aimed at linking users, creators and games over the long term beyond one-off collaborations. The programme was designed with live streaming platform SOOP to help creators and users build broadcasting experiences centered on Nexon games. Creators can stream as “N Connectors,” while users can join by linking SOOP and Nexon game accounts to receive in-game benefits and programmes.

Netmarble Cultural Foundation registers Netmarble Game Museum as Type 1 specialised museum

Netmarble Game Museum, operated by the Netmarble Cultural Foundation, has been officially registered as a Type 1 specialised museum, the first game museum in South Korea to receive the designation. Opened in March last year, it completed the registration after an on-site inspection by Seoul city for private museums. The foundation will hold a free admission event for children from April 28 to May 10 and will be closed on May 4.
