Dunamu said on Thursday it has signed a strategic partnership with global payments company Visa to pursue next-generation financial services including stablecoin-based payments, global remittances and AI-enabled payments. The companies unveiled a partnership roadmap in San Francisco on Aug. 27 Korea time. They plan to combine Dunamu’s digital asset technology with Visa’s global payments network to explore new services, while details such as markets and launch schedules remain undecided.

The Trump administration is reviewing new tariffs on semiconductors and a broad range of chip-containing products, raising concerns that the U.S. AI industry could be hit directly. The proposal could cover derived products such as game consoles and data center servers, and possibly used or refurbished goods. Industry groups warn it could raise supply chain costs, delay or cancel data center projects, and push investment overseas while also lifting prices for everyday devices and slowing new AI products.
