Netmarble launches new game Mongil: Star Dive globally

Netmarble said on Tuesday it has formally launched the action role-playing game "Mongil: Star Dive" on PC and mobile platforms. The title is a sequel to "Monster Taming," released in 2013. It features Unreal Engine 5-based characters and story presentation, a monster collecting system that includes capturing, collecting and fusing, and real-time tag-based combat built around three-person parties. The game is available via major app stores and on PC through Epic Games Store and its launcher.

77 percent of game workers fear AI job insecurity; only 37 percent expect tax credit benefits to reach workplaces

Three in four game industry workers in South Korea feel job insecurity from the adoption of AI, but only about one in four workplaces have formal labour-management talks on the issue, a survey showed. Expectations that tax credits under a proposed overhaul of the Game Industry Promotion Act would translate into better pay and conditions stood at 37 percent. Labour representatives urged the Democratic Party to create a standing tripartite consultative body.

Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview solves 73 percent of expert hacking tasks

Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview recorded a 73 percent success rate in an expert-level cybersecurity assessment and was rated the first AI model to complete a simulated corporate network attack. The UK government's AI Security Institute said the model showed meaningful performance on expert hacking tasks. In a 32-step enterprise attack simulation, it completed the full process in 3 of 10 attempts and averaged 22 steps. Researchers cautioned against generalising to real-world threats.
