KRX said on Oct. 16 it delivered 120 million won in donations to World Vision to support treatment costs for low-income children in Busan with rare diseases.
Since 2019, KRX has worked with World Vision to support children with rare diseases. The support includes treatment costs, assistive devices to support disabilities and camps to strengthen family bonds.
A total of 185 children with rare diseases have received support so far. Cases include Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in a child from a low-income family, periventricular leukomalacia in a child from a single-parent family, and hypoplastic right heart syndrome in a child from a multicultural family.
