LG Uplus launches Muner Kids Phone 2 with AI harmful content detection
LG Uplus launched the U+ Kids Phone Muner Edition 2, its ninth kids-only smartphone for preschoolers and elementary school students, based on Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy A17 LTE. The phone uses AI to detect harmful images and text, sending alerts to children and parents. It is sold as a package with accessories and costs 369,500 won. The company also offers insurance, AI learning packs and other benefits for eligible buyers.

Defender rally team makes Dakar debut, begins D7X-R testing
Defender Rally Team debuted at the Dakar Rally, the opening round of the 2026 World Rally-Raid Championship that began on Jan. 3 in Saudi Arabia. Three Defender Dakar D7X-R vehicles are competing. The line-up includes driver pairings featuring Stephane Peterhansel and other top names. The D7X-R is based on the Defender OCTA and will contest about 5,000 km over two weeks in a new stock-car category.
