Woori Bank donates to vulnerable groups at year-end

Woori Bank said it delivered 30 million won in donations on Dec. 29 to two welfare facilities near Seoul Station: Mannasaem and the Seoul Station Jjokbang Counselling Centre. The facilities support the self-reliance of homeless people and elderly people living alone by providing services such as free meals, housing support, job counselling, shower facilities and health and medical services. The bank said it will continue community-focused social contribution activities.

Upbit wins citations from personnel management minister and Military Manpower Administration chief

Dunamu, which operates South Korea's Upbit digital asset exchange, said on Wednesday it received citations from the head of the Ministry of Personnel Management and the head of the Military Manpower Administration. It said the awards recognised its cooperation with government requests for information and its support for verifying public officials' reported digital asset holdings and transactions through the public service ethics system. It also supported checks related to military service exemption reviews.
