Shinhan Bank will provide financial services support for the University of Seoul’s operations and for students and faculty and staff.

Shinhan Bank said it signed a business agreement with the University of Seoul on July 21 at the university in Dongdaemun district, Seoul, for mutual and joint development.

Under the agreement, Shinhan Bank will provide the University of Seoul with financial services needed to run the university and support the issuance of student IDs that also function as debit cards. It will also provide financial convenience and related benefits for students and faculty and staff.

The two institutions agreed to build a long-term cooperation system to support stable university operations and improve financial convenience for its members.

Shinhan Bank plans to support the University of Seoul’s education, research and overall administration based on its public finance experience accumulated while operating as Seoul’s municipal vault bank. It also plans to provide financial services that members of the university can use.

Shinhan Bank CEO Jeong Sang-hyeok (정상혁) said, "As Seoul’s municipal vault bank, we will strive to provide convenient financial services to members of the university and become a partner that supports the development of the University of Seoul."
