[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee (이지영)] Naver Pay will support payment fees for micro merchants during the summer holiday season when payment demand rises. The programme covers online and offline payments as well as Naver Reservation and Order merchants. Fees incurred during the support period will be paid in a lump sum in September.

Naver Pay said on Tuesday it will support payment fees for micro merchants using online and offline payments and Naver Reservation and Order services from July 27 to Aug. 2.

The support was 마련됐다 to reduce cost burdens for micro small business owners during the summer holiday season, when online shopping, offline in-store payments and use of Naver Reservation and Order increase.

Eligible merchants are Naver Pay online and in-store payment merchants and Naver Reservation and Order merchants that fall under the micro-seller category based on National Tax Service grading standards. They will be included automatically without a separate application.

For online payments and Naver Reservation and Order merchants, all payment methods are eligible. In-store payment merchants can receive support for Naver Pay Money and Points transactions.

Naver Pay plans to total the fees incurred during the support period and pay the full amount in a single payment in September.

A Naver Pay official said, "We will continue to support the growth of small business owners and continue win-win finance through various services and financial support."
