Localisation of defence semiconductor technology is accelerating through industry-academia cooperation. Hanwha Systems said it will set up joint R&D centres with Seoul National University and Sungkyunkwan University to secure defence and space semiconductor design capabilities. With Seoul National University, it will conduct joint research through 2031 to develop high-frequency communications semiconductor design technology. With Sungkyunkwan University, it will jointly develop a high-power, high-efficiency, wideband radar semiconductor.

NH Nonghyup Bank said on Wednesday it delivered 37,132,958 won worth of NH points donated by NH Members customers last year to charities. The funds came from customers who voluntarily donated points via the NH Members app. The donations were delivered to five groups, including Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and Good Neighbors, and are to be used for protecting vulnerable children at home and abroad and for cooperation projects linked to agriculture and rural areas.
