SK Telecom said on July 27 it will join the Nvidia-led Open Secure AI Alliance as a founding member.
The Open Secure AI Alliance, launched on the day, is a global cooperation group bringing together leading IT companies including Nvidia, Cisco, Cloudera, Databricks, CrowdStrike, Databricks and Dell Technologies to pursue open innovation in the AI industry and build a safe and sound AI ecosystem.
Its goal is to respond to new types of cyber threats as AI-powered cyber attacks increase. It will jointly develop security technologies and open-source tools to protect AI applications and AI agents, and share results. Members will share AI safety verification methodologies, security technologies and threat response experience, and jointly respond to AI cyber threats.
SKT said it plans to take the lead in building a safer and more trustworthy AI ecosystem through cooperation with global partners.
In addition to SKT, Naver joined the Open Secure AI Alliance as a South Korean company.
