Korea's science, industry and SME ministries issue joint notice for AX projects

The government will strengthen inter-ministry cooperation to expand artificial intelligence transformation in industrial and manufacturing sites. The Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on March 12 they will issue a unified notice for key 2026 AX projects and hold a joint briefing. The notice includes AI agent initiatives, AX-Sprint support and vouchers, among other programmes.

ITCEN ENTEC, Wisewires team up to improve IT service quality

ITCEN ENTEC said on Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with global software testing company Wisewires to enhance IT service quality and cooperate on business. It said the deal aims to combine ITCEN ENTEC’s IT service expertise with Wisewires’ software testing technology to secure system stability and innovation in domestic and overseas IT service markets. The companies plan broader cooperation in AX and DX and technical exchanges.

LS Group steps up new business push beyond power infrastructure into minerals

LS Group is expanding new businesses in key minerals based on its growth platform built in the power infrastructure business. It will foster battery materials such as precursors and nickel sulphate and rare earth permanent magnets as new growth pillars. The group posted record results in 2025, with revenue of 45.7223 trillion won and operating profit of 1.4884 trillion won across 12 companies. It plans to invest 7 trillion won domestically and 5 trillion won overseas over the next 5 years.
