Google opens Flow AI video tool to Workspace users

Google is broadening access to its AI-based video creation tool Flow. Previously limited to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, Flow is now available to Google Workspace users on business, enterprise and education plans, The Block reported on Thursday. Flow uses Google’s Veo 3.1 model to generate 8-second clips from text or images and offers editing tools such as lighting adjustments, camera angle changes and object insertion or removal. Audio capabilities and Nano Banana Pro integration have also been added.

Citrea unveils U.S. Treasury-backed stablecoin targeting Bitcoin ecosystem

Bitcoin layer-2 blockchain Citrea has launched ctUSD, a U.S. dollar-linked stablecoin intended to serve as a liquidity standard within the Citrea ecosystem. A report said it connects to the Bitcoin network via zero-knowledge proofs and is the first stablecoin issued by MoonPay, backed 1:1 by U.S. Treasuries and cash. Citrea said native issuance can reduce bridge-driven liquidity fragmentation, slippage and system risk. ctUSD is available across 49 U.S. states and many other jurisdictions.

Anchorage Digital seeks up to $400 million in funding, Bloomberg reports

Digital asset bank Anchorage Digital is seeking to raise up to $400 million ahead of an initial public offering, Bloomberg News reported on Jan. 16. The company was valued at $3 billion in a 2021 Series D round. Market speculation about a listing has persisted, and peers including BitGo, Bitpanda and Kraken are also preparing IPOs. Anchorage has expanded via acquisitions into wealth management and token lifecycle management.
