NH NongHyup Capital said on Aug. 3 it has built a disaster recovery (DR) environment based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
NH NongHyup Capital recently shifted from its existing on-premises data backup method to an OCI-based in-house disaster recovery framework to comply with recently revised electronic financial supervision rules and strengthen operational resilience. It said the move provides a foundation to keep operations running without service interruptions even if major disruptions or system errors occur.
NH NongHyup Capital CEO Jong-hwan Jang (장종환) said a solid technology infrastructure that always ensures stable service use is essential to provide reliable financial services. He said the OCI-based disaster recovery system has significantly strengthened operational resilience and business continuity, enabling the company to provide financial services that customers can use with confidence.
Oracle Korea CEO Seong-ha Kim (김성하) said cloud infrastructure that provides stable resilience, security and performance even in large-scale environments has become essential as financial institutions push to upgrade systems to match a changing regulatory environment and rising customer expectations. He said OCI supports modernisation of corporate disaster recovery systems and ensures business continuity based on enterprise-grade infrastructure. Kim said Oracle will continue to help financial firms such as NH NongHyup Capital boost operational resilience and business agility and provide key financial services stably.
