Microsoft to add AI Copilot to Xbox, set for release this year

Microsoft will add an AI-based Gaming Copilot feature to Xbox consoles, The Verge reported on March 13. The report cited an announcement by Xbox AI product manager Sonali Yadav (소날리 야다브). Gaming Copilot is an AI assistant being beta tested on the Xbox mobile app, Windows 11 and the Xbox Ally handheld device. It provides in-game help via voice commands. Yadav said the feature will apply to “current-generation consoles” but did not specify models.

Gumloop raises $50 million to build natural-language AI agent creation platform

Gumloop, which has developed a platform that helps non-technical users create AI agents, has raised $50 million in funding, SiliconANGLE reported on March 13. The Series B round was led by Benchmark, with participation from Shopify Ventures and Y Combinator. The investment brings Gumloop's total funding to $70 million. The company’s platform lets users build agents via drag-and-drop, connectors and plugins, and offers tools to link multiple agents into automated workflows.

Digg cuts staff, shuts app after losing war against AI spam

Digg, once a popular link-sharing site, has carried out mass layoffs and is shutting down its app, TechCrunch reported on March 13. The company is not closing, and co-founder Kevin Rose said he plans to refocus on running Digg while keeping an adviser role at Tru Ventures. Digg said it struggled with AI bots and spam, and with competition from existing community platforms.
