Shinsegae I&C is working with KT to expand a Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud business.
The two companies will jointly pursue Nutanix-based private and hybrid cloud services, combining Shinsegae I&C’s cloud expertise with KT’s B2B customer base and infrastructure capabilities. They plan to link their services and capabilities to identify demand for customers’ cloud transitions and expand the private and hybrid cloud market.
KT will identify new demand based on nationwide touchpoints with corporate customers and its telecommunications, network and infrastructure capabilities, centered on its Nutanix-based HCI and DR service Cloudline. Shinsegae I&C will provide cloud expertise, including Nutanix architecture design and technical consulting, centered on its Nutanix HCI-based subscription private cloud service Spharos One.
The two companies plan to expand the scope of cooperation over the mid to long term to cloud services optimized for the AI business era.
KT Executive Director of Data Services Geon-ho Lim (임건호) said the importance of infrastructure that can integrally provide a stable network and cloud environment is growing as corporate use of AI expands. He said the cooperation will support customer cloud transitions and provide an optimal hybrid cloud environment by combining telecommunications and infrastructure capabilities with cloud services.
Shinsegae I&C head of Cloud Biz Pil-seung Jung (정필승) said the importance of cloud infrastructure that can safely manage data and stably operate AI services is rising as corporate AI transitions accelerate. He said the two companies will combine capabilities to provide services optimized for each customer’s needs and expand into a high value-added cloud business for AI.
