Korea Investment Securities' FC assets top 10 trillion won, up 80 percent in two years

Korea Investment Securities said on Monday that assets brought in by its investment solicitation agents, known as FCs, exceeded 10 trillion won for the first time in the industry. It said FC-sourced assets rose to 10.053 trillion won at the end of 2025 from 5.6 trillion won at the end of 2023, a gain of about 80 percent. The company said it is strengthening competitiveness through a performance-based compensation system and new management and mentoring programmes.

Koh Young Technology enters Japan's medical robot market

Koh Young Technology said on Tuesday its brain surgery robot, Geniant Cranial, has obtained marketing approval from Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), enabling official sales in the country. The company said the robot previously received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance and has now been approved in Japan as a high-risk Class III medical device. A company official said it will accelerate cooperation and early installations via its Japan unit.

AliExpress suffers 8.6 billion won seller settlement hack due to OTP security flaw

AliExpress was later found to have lost about 8.6 billion won in seller settlement funds in a large-scale hacking incident that occurred last October, after a hacker exploited a vulnerability in the password-recovery OTP process. The hacker accessed 107 seller accounts and changed settlement accounts for 83 of them, stealing about $6 million. AliExpress Korea said it blocked the access, paid sellers in full and that no customer or consumer data was leaked.
