Clion secures patent for RAG AI interpreting to correct mistranslations, targets public-sector market

Clion said on March 17 it completed registration of a patent for its RAG-based real-time interpreting server and system, a core technology for its in-person consultation AI interpreting solution, LXHUB. The company said the technology combines generative AI with retrieval-augmented generation to infer a complainant’s intent and reference domain databases for agencies such as administrative and immigration bodies in real time. It said deployments and tests have been completed across multiple public-service settings.

Sweet Spot posts 28.1 billion won in 2025 sales, records first annual profit

Sweet Spot, a company specialising in pop-up and commercial retail, said on March 17 it recorded 28.1 billion won in sales in 2025 and achieved its first annual profit since its founding. Sales rose about 70 percent from 16.6 billion won a year earlier, while operating profit totalled 438.8 million won. The company said growth came from its pop-up store operations and commercial retail asset management businesses.

FSS warns investment banks not to neglect risk management in pursuit of returns

South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service on Monday urged executives at major investment banks to review risk-management systems amid market volatility. It held a meeting with chief financial and risk officers from 10 firms to discuss current risk issues. The watchdog called for realistic stress tests, checks on liquidity risks tied to ELS margin calls and functioning contingency plans. It also pressed for stronger internal controls, upgrades to liquidity management and stricter oversight of corporate credit provision.
