Mirae Asset Securities is rolling out a discretionary service in individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts in which a robo-adviser handles everything from portfolio construction to trading.
Mirae Asset Securities said on Aug. 5 it has launched its “Retirement Pension Robo Wrap” service. The service has a robo-adviser build a global asset allocation portfolio according to market conditions and carry out actual trades.
It is designed to reduce the burden on investors of deciding when to invest and which securities to pick, and to manage pension assets based on algorithms and data.
Mirae Asset Securities introduced a retirement pension robo-adviser recommendation service in September 2022 and expanded the service scope to personal pensions in November 2024.
As of the end of last month, the cumulative number of subscribed accounts for Mirae Asset Securities’ robo-adviser service reached 140,000, and the cumulative subscription amount exceeded 8.3 trillion won.
Hwang Bo-ram (황보람), head of Mirae Asset Securities’ robo asset management team, said, “The Retirement Pension Robo Wrap is a service that responds to market changes through a proven algorithm.” She added, “We expanded our robo-adviser management know-how and philosophy into a discretionary service.”
