U.S. clashes over regulating open-weight AI models amid rise of Chinese systems

Samsung Electronics sets up RX office under CEO to drive robot business
Samsung Electronics has formalised robots as a next-generation core business and set up a dedicated organisation. The company said it will establish the RX (Robotics eXperience) Business Promotion Office under the CEO to integrate companywide robotics capabilities and drive work from mid- to long-term strategy and core technology development to commercialisation. It will use its Seoul R&D Campus as a main base, build a data factory in Gumi, and set up global research bases in the United States, China and Japan.

Webzen to show 'Terbis' at Japan's Comiket for fifth straight time
Webzen said on Monday it will showcase its in-development new title 'Terbis' at Comic Market (Comiket C108), Japan's largest subculture event, to be held in August. The event takes place twice a year at Tokyo Big Sight. Webzen will extend a streak of participating in Comic Market for five consecutive events as part of its global marketing. The company also plans an on-site booth and events, including a cosplay program with 11 Korean and Japanese models.
