Crowdworks signs MOU with XYZ on robot training data cooperation

AI technology company Crowdworks said on Tuesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with physical AI company XYZ to build robot training data and cooperate on related business. The companies will combine XYZ’s robot hardware capabilities with Crowdworks’ data processing to standardise behaviour data and refine it for robot learning. They also plan to expand cooperation on government-led AI and robotics projects, including building a robot data ecosystem and exploring distribution models.

MOTIE says M.AX Alliance expands to 1,300 participants; humanoid pilots to rise to 30 sites

South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has expanded the M.AX Alliance, a consultative body for manufacturing AI transformation, to 11 subcommittees with more than 1,300 companies and institutions within six months of its launch. The ministry plans to increase humanoid robot pilot projects from 10 sites last year to at least 30 this year, prioritising hazardous tasks such as shipyard welding and logistics transfers.

SK Broadband expands digital welfare at senior centres with B tv On Ad

SK Broadband said on March 25 it has completed building its digital signage service, B tv On Ad, at senior centres in Hapcheon County and Changwon City in South Gyeongsang Province and is moving to expand its smart senior-centre project. Hapcheon expanded from 50 pilot sites to 470, while Changwon is running a pilot at 40 sites. Namwon introduced it at 496 senior centres and 23 administrative welfare centres.
