[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] SpaceXAI has released a beta version of Grok Bot, a workplace AI agent it jointly developed with Cursor.
The Information reported on Monday that Grok Bot is designed to let AI carry out routine work beyond coding, including managing email and spreadsheets.
Grok Bot can log into a user's work account to send emails, organize spreadsheets and handle engineering-related tasks. SpaceXAI said its engineers use Grok Bot to negotiate with suppliers by voice, manage customer support for an online store and continuously update customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Grok Bot is known to have been provided to Cursor employees from late June under the codename Sand. Cursor has focused its business on coding tools for developers, but is expanding its services into general-purpose AI through its cooperation with SpaceXAI.
SpaceX agreed in May to acquire Cursor for $60 billion. The acquisition could be completed as early as the end of this week, it was reported. Cursor shared its Grok Bot branding plans with employees and said the Grok brand could also be used for products to be launched in the future.
