Keel Infrastructure has ended all its bitcoin mining business in the United States and shifted to a focus on high-performance computing infrastructure. Cointelegraph reported on Monday that Keel said in its second-quarter report it fully halted U.S. bitcoin mining operations before building high-performance computing sites.
Keel's second-quarter revenue was $30 million, down 50 percent from a year earlier. The company cited a fall in the average bitcoin price and the suspension of cryptocurrency mining operations in Moses Lake in April 2026 as key reasons for the revenue decline.
Operating profit also swung to a loss. Keel posted an operating loss of $141 million in the second quarter, compared with an operating profit of $11 million in the same period a year earlier. The loss included $84 million in non-cash depreciation.
Keel is one of the companies that have fully withdrawn from U.S. bitcoin mining and then shifted direction to high-performance computing. Bit Digital and Crusoe were also cited as firms that stopped mining operations and switched to AI infrastructure.
Keel is also reducing its bitcoin holdings. Keel sold 1,085 BTC for $75 million after April 1 and held 1,861 BTC as of the 8th.
