Dassault Systemes, Nvidia form alliance on physical AI platform

Manufacturing software company Dassault Systemes and AI computing company Nvidia said they will work together to expand industrial AI by integrating Dassault’s virtual twin technology with Nvidia’s computing platform, AI models and CUDA-X libraries. The companies announced the partnership on Feb. 3 at Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE World 2026 conference in Houston. They said the effort focuses on advancing physical AI and building AI factories using Nvidia infrastructure across three continents.

AI fears spread, software and information services firms hit in stock market selloff

The Nasdaq Composite ended down 1.4 percent and the S&P 500 fell 0.8 percent on Feb. 3. Concerns grew that Anthropic’s Claude Cowork platform could automate legal work and pressure existing software companies. Information and legal data platforms posted steep losses, and a JPMorgan software index slid, deepening its year-to-date decline. Private equity firms with software exposure also fell. Transport and consumer staples rose.

Nevada court orders temporary shutdown of Polymarket

A Nevada court ordered blockchain-based prediction market Polymarket to stop operating temporarily, Cointelegraph reported on Monday. The move is tied to claims Polymarket tried to sidestep state gambling regulation. The court said the Nevada Gaming Control Board can issue a 14-day temporary restraining order. Polymarket argued the matter falls under the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, but the court said the state can apply its own gambling laws.
